Your Own Personal Sports-Themed Man Cave

A man cave is a rite of passage for men to chill, have a few cold ones, and enjoy a round of foosball or two. A man cave can be regarded as a treehouse for grownups – no unauthorized entry! When it comes to a specific theme, your man cave should include everything that makes you happy. A sport-themed mancave is a great idea, seeing as you can decorate it with all the memorabilia, collectibles, and décor otherwise “not allowed” in the rest of your home.

Regardless of whether you’re a fan of a specific sport, or just enjoy sports in general, the decorating possibilities are endless – and that’s where we come in. The Metro Men are here to provide you with sports décor that makes you tick. As mancaves ourselves, we enjoy nothing more than finding the best, most exciting décor for your personal space.

There are various types of décor to choose from. You can either go for interactive pieces like dartboards, chess tables, and bar games, or you could opt for wall decorations like a frame of your favorite player, team emblem scarves and headwear, or a special prop like a basketball.

Either way, we’ve got numerous ideas and décor you can purchase to get started on your project. But first, let’s take a look at how to get the most out of your sports-themed man cave.

Man Cave Location

You can set-up your mancave virtually anywhere you find the appropriate space. First and foremost, it’s best to set-up your mancave in or around your home – you don’t want to drive to or hire extra space. The point is to have quick and easy access. Now, the question is – where in the house you should set it up?

Here are a few great locations for a man cave:

  • The Basement
  • Garage
  • Shed
  • Spare Room
  • Attic

When choosing your mancave location, especially with a sports theme, it’s important to make sure you have the appropriate amount of electrical utilities, light, and of course, breathable air.

Sports-Themed Mancave Ideas

As mentioned before, you could either have décor, interactive pieces, or a combination of both (just try not to purchase a pool table if you barely even have space for a sofa).

Below are a few ideas for your sportsman cave:

  • Sports jerseys, scarves, beanies, caps, and flags.
  • Team emblem wall signs and wall decals.
  • Souvenirs and memorabilia. Whether they are signed or not, you’ll want to keep them in a display case just in case things get out of hand…
